The Sturmpionners are the basic Russo-Mongolian troops. This war has dragged on for so long now, that Baron Ugenberg is forced to recruit increasingly young and inexperienced soldiers. In spite of this, these war children have an innate sense of combat and outdo one another in the art of defending their emperor.

Description[]

Sturmpionners are generally equipped with a khaki uniform, leather boots, a backpack with combat webbing, and a steel helmet worn with a fabric covering dyed in three-tone camouflage. They carry a wide assortment of weaponry, but most commonly wield assault rifles.

Sturmpionner officers come in two different variants; non-commissioned officers wearing a khaki uniform similar to that of the regular Sturmpionners, only with no helmet, and commissioned officers wearing a more decorated Gymnasterka uniform with razgovoriy straps, a red peaked cap, a red sash, and black leather boots. Both types of officer tend to carry Sabres and grenades, and favor lighter arms such as the pistol or machine pistol.

In World War Zero they have a very different uniform, consisting of a gray uniform, Stahlhelm-style helmet, armored boots, and black respirator-style gas mask. They are equipped primarily with the MP-6 machine pistol and occasionally the MG-36A assault rifle. They are solely encountered in the trenches along the Friedrich and Anton-Denikin lines.

The Sturmpionner officers in World War Zero wear dark khaki uniforms with red sleeves and collars, and a red cap. They wield pistols and often throw grenades, and are somewhat more durable than standard Sturmpionners.
